5 beautiful years and more to come!

5 years ago daddy walked me down the aisle ….. and it has been unforgettable ever since……

I still remember the crazy preparation, trying to lose weight (that figures out the most in all my posts), not too many shopping trips, but numerous trips to church to finalize  passages and readings… What happened finally? My mass was perfect- but I forgot to collect the bible after that…

I have a wedding website- rather we had it…… however I know it just does not make any sense to pay 100usd a year to keep it live……….but I want the pics off it- I really do:(

A few pics of the wedding day – 10th December 2007…. I usually don’t put up pictures with faces or people in them…but how can I not when it is a wedding…….

Saying I DO

And… I wrote out my own vows… so did Mr. R.. guess who forgot his vows though……. obviously my dear Hubby! and that is what is so endearing about him… What wouldn’t I give to turn the clock to 5 years ago…. And I’m glad that a priest who  was there with me right through my confirmation, agreed to come celebrate my wedding vows! Thank you Fr. Richard…

The Church….

I remember coming to church as a child… when I would talk during mass and a nice lady would gently admonish me.. I remember going outdoors and playing as a 4 or 5 year old… then as a 9 year old receiving my first holy communion…later summer camps, crushes and even my confirmation. I’m so glad I got married here. Thank you Lord!

This is one of my favourite pictures, with my grandmum who passed away in Jan 2008. It took me ages to come to terms with her death. I have a post written out but just can’t publish it- it will be all too real.. Gawd it is going to be 4 years this January:(

Before I sign off I must say, I forgot my bouquet whilst entering and did the whole march without my bouquet…. I only remembered when it was time to raise the toast……… Also, my part of the family decided to go home and change after church and got stuck in traffic.. Did I mention I got married on a weekday?????? a Monday at that….and everyone came to my wedding!

To new beginnings…………..

This post may not be up to the mark….. but will serve as a memento about my wedding….. I know I will forever remember every single minute… but it’s just nice to have something to read and a few pictures to look at without logging on to picasa or facebook or even orkut(now that is redundant). But I have been looking for the classic bride on the floor pose.. and I can’t find the picture……..
