As we walked by the pier in Hoboken- 2 sleeps ago, the New York skyline was bathed in gold! How apt with regard to the rainbow that appeared a few minutes later (exactly like the old adage of finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow)!
This view speaks of the resilience of a city… a beloved place so many of us call home!
I’d love to have your view… What do you think this depicts?
That is an amazing picture!! So, you live in Hoboken? Ever get a little cake from Cake Boss– Hoboken style?!? Lol 🙂

Defiance! Look how the WTC stands tall and proud, refusing to bow down, even as the fiery clouds seem to close in on it. The sheer arrogance of mankind.
It reminds me of Bheema, who alone remained standing- tall and proud, even as the rest of Pandavas and their army lay down on the ground in submission to Ashwathama’s powerful missile.
For all those who are unfamiliar with Bheema and Ashwathama, they are characters from the epic Mahabharata and the scene occurs during the grand finale battle between the princely cousins, the Kauravas and the Pandavas.
